Plans for the Reunion weekend are finally shaping up.\u00a0 We have decided on the locations for both Friday and Saturday nights.<\/p>\n
Friday night, May 30, 2014<\/strong>, will be an informal evening at Zody’s 19th Hole at Brennan (formerly Hubbard Heights) Municipal Golf Course in Stamford.\u00a0 The time is 6 to 10 pm.\u00a0 There will be beer, wine and sodas included, as well as enough hors d’oeuvres to pass as dinner, and a cash bar for those who wish it.\u00a0\u00a0 We had lunch there this week, and the food was good, the room pleasant, and the price right.\u00a0 It was, once we saw it, an easy choice.\u00a0 It will be a good way to relax after a day of travel, or just start the weekend with an evening with old friends.\u00a0 The price for beer, wine, hors d’oeuvres for the evening will be $30 per person.<\/p>\n Saturday night, May 31<\/strong>, will be a buffet dinner from 6:30 to 10:30.\u00a0 We have chosen the DeLaMar, formerly the Showboat, the same site as our 30th reunion, but thoroughly renovated.\u00a0 We will still have the view, the waterfront,\u00a0 good food, and, most of all, good company.\u00a0 The price is a good one compared to the other venues we looked at.\u00a0 Dinner will be a buffet, with a cash bar.\u00a0 The menu is still to be determined, but we wanted to lock in the venue now.\u00a0 The price for the evening will be $130 per person if you send reservations in before April 15, 2014.\u00a0 After that date, it will be $145 per person.<\/p>\n We will set up a way to sign up online, and then mail a check to our treasurer.\u00a0 We really need to get an idea of how many people will attend!\u00a0 For now, send me an email and let me know if you’re seriously interested, sort of interested, or would rather not come.\u00a0 We would love to see as many classmates attend as possible.\u00a0 We haven’t done this for 20 years — come check out the guy\/girl you had a crush on — see how well we’ve all aged, just like fine wines and cheeses — not that any of us look more than a week older than we did in 1964!\u00a0 Come listen to music of our youth, chat with old friends and catch up with our classmates.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Plans for the Reunion weekend are finally shaping up.\u00a0 We have decided on the locations for both Friday and Saturday nights.
